# ✏️ How to Change Your Signing Name in PodPitch

## Change the Signing Name

The Signing Name is the name that appears at the end of your PodPitch emails.

1. Click **Email Addresses** in the left sidebar.
2. Find the connected email address and click **Edit**.
3. Under **Email Names**, update **Signing Name (Optional)**.
4. Click **Save Changes**.

Leave Signing Name blank if you want PodPitch to use the mailbox official From name.

## Change the official From name

The official From name is the sender name shown next to the email address. For a connected Google or Microsoft mailbox, update that name in Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, or Microsoft 365, then reconnect the mailbox in PodPitch. Changing only the Signing Name does not change the official From name.

## Choose who the pitch is about

If you want the email body to pitch someone else in third person, do not solve that through the Signing Name or Custom Instructions alone. Open the campaign **Settings**, find **Should emails be written in first person or third person?**, choose the correct option, save, and rewrite any pending emails.

## Edit the signature

In the same mailbox editor, update **Email Signature** when you need to change the text, links, or formatting below the Signing Name. Keep the signature simple for better deliverability, then save and send a test email.
