# 🚀 How to Create an OmniCampaign in PodPitch

# How to Create an OmniCampaign in PodPitch

All new PodPitch campaigns are **OmniCampaigns**. One OmniCampaign can include podcast, journalist, and newsletter outreach for the same profile.

## Before you begin

Make sure you have:

- a complete profile for the person, company, product, or story;
- at least one active address under **Email Addresses**;
- completed the managed sending-domain step if it is required during your onboarding; and
- clear positive and negative targeting guidance.

## 1. Start the campaign

1. Open **Campaigns**.
2. Select **Create Campaign**.
3. Choose the profile you want to promote.
4. Select the email address that should send outreach and receive replies.
5. Choose the media types you want the campaign to use.

## 2. Complete the campaign brief

Describe:

- who or what you are pitching;
- the strongest expertise, story, or offer;
- relevant topics, industries, and audiences;
- the opportunities you want; and
- topics, audiences, or outlets to avoid.

Targeting instructions control **who PodPitch recommends**. Writing instructions control **how the pitches are written**.

## 3. Find and preview matches

Select **Find Matches** after completing the targeting.

Matching begins in the background while you review the preview. The preview can show up to ten initial matches across the selected media types.

Each preview card may include:

- the Smart Fit score;
- an explanation of the score;
- the outlet's recent episode, article, or post; and
- a sample based on the campaign's real pitch drafts.

Review every media type you enabled. A strong podcast match does not prove that the journalist or newsletter targeting is equally accurate.

## 4. Veto a poor match

Use the thumbs-down or skip control when an outlet should not enter the campaign.

A match vetoed during setup is kept out of the campaign, including when the same match is found later. It appears in the campaign's **Skipped** list with the reason that it was skipped during OmniCampaign creation.

Give a specific rating reason when prompted. This helps distinguish a topic mismatch from an audience, audience-size, format, paid-placement, or other issue.

## 5. Choose how the campaign launches

The last setup screen gives you two launch choices:

- **Create campaign and start sending emails immediately** creates the campaign in **Smart Mode**. PodPitch can begin scheduling and sending eligible outreach automatically, subject to the campaign schedule, daily budget, team capacity, and other sending controls.
- **Create campaign and manually review first** creates the campaign without starting automated outreach. Choose this smaller link when you want to inspect targets and drafts before sending.

Do not select the Smart Mode option unless the profile, enabled media types, targeting, sender, and preview are ready for outreach.

## 6. Review the live campaign

After creation:

1. Review targets from every enabled media type.
2. Review a sample of generated pitches.
3. Confirm names, claims, links, perspective, sender details, subject lines, and signatures.
4. Adjust the profile, targeting, or writing instructions when needed.
5. Rewrite eligible pending pitches after a material writing or profile change.

## 7. Understand the campaign controls

- **Off** stops new automated outreach across the entire OmniCampaign.
- **Manual Mode** lets you review and send pitches yourself.
- **Smart Mode** sends automatically within the campaign's daily budget and the team's available pitch capacity.

To pause only one media type, do not use the campaign-wide **Off** control. Open **Pitches**, select the relevant media tab, and use its channel-level pause control, such as **Pause Journalists** or **Pause Podcasts**. The paused tab should show **Paused**, while the other enabled media types can continue.

## 8. Keep monitoring quality

Review replies, ratings, skips, exclusions, and the campaign's **Skipped** list regularly. Smart Fit-screened matches remain visible there with the reason they were not pitched.

If a media type or control is missing, confirm that it is available for the account and that the sending address is active before contacting Support.
