# How to Skip or Exclude a Match from One Campaign

Use a campaign-level skip when a podcast, journalist, or newsletter is wrong for one OmniCampaign but may still be relevant elsewhere.

## Skip a match during campaign creation

Use the thumbs-down or skip control on the preview card. PodPitch keeps the match out of the new campaign and records it in the **Skipped** list as skipped during OmniCampaign creation.

## Skip a match in an existing campaign

1. Open **Campaigns**.
2. Select the campaign.
3. Open the match or outreach record.
4. Choose the available **Skip**, **Ban Selected**, or exclusion control.
5. Select the campaign-only option when shown.
6. Confirm the action.

The labels can differ by media type and campaign state.

## Give a rating reason

When prompted, choose the reason that best explains the decision, such as:

- wrong topic or industry;
- wrong audience;
- audience too small;
- does not interview guests;
- paid placement required; or
- another specific reason.

Ratings help future matching. A skip removes the current match; a rating explains why.

## Restore a campaign-level match

Open the campaign's **Skipped**, **Excluded**, or **Not Eligible** area, find the match, and use the available restore or remove action.

Restoring it makes the match eligible for that campaign again. It does not force PodPitch to send immediately.

## When to use Excluded Contacts instead

If an email address should never receive outreach from any campaign, add it under **Settings → Team → Excluded Contacts**.

Campaign-level skips and team-wide contact exclusions are different controls.
