# How to Start or Enable Smart Mode

Smart Mode lets PodPitch send eligible campaign outreach automatically within the campaign schedule, Daily Budget, team capacity, and other sending controls.

## Start a new campaign in Smart Mode

On the last step of OmniCampaign creation, select **Create campaign and start sending emails immediately**.

The campaign is created in Smart Mode and eligible outreach can begin automatically.

If you want to inspect targets and drafts first, select the smaller **Create campaign and manually review first** link instead.

## Turn Smart Mode on for an existing campaign

1. Open **Campaigns**.
2. Select the campaign you want to adjust.
3. Select **Smart** or **Turn on Smart**, depending on the control shown.
4. Set or review the campaign's **Daily Budget**.
5. Review the confirmation.
6. Activate Smart Mode.

## Review before automated sending

Before starting Smart Mode, confirm:

- every enabled media type;
- targeting and exclusions;
- a sample of recipients and pitches;
- names, claims, links, subject lines, and signatures;
- the active sending address;
- the schedule and follow-ups; and
- the Daily Budget.

## Daily Budget and team capacity

The campaign's **N/day** budget is the maximum new outreach it can attempt each day. All active Smart campaigns share the team's total capacity.

If the campaign budget is zero or all team capacity is assigned elsewhere, Smart Mode cannot send new pitches.

## Stop or narrow sending

- Switch the campaign to **Manual Mode** when you want to review and send pitches yourself.
- Switch the entire OmniCampaign **Off** when you need to stop all new automated outreach.
- To pause only journalists, podcasts, or another media type, open **Pitches**, select that media tab, and use its channel-level pause control.

Review already-scheduled messages and follow-ups when a date-sensitive stop is required.

## Monitor Smart Mode

After activation, review replies, ratings, skips, exclusions, bounces, and sent activity. If targeting or drafts become inaccurate, switch to Manual Mode or Off while correcting the campaign.
