# 📧How to Update the Email Address for a Campaign

#### Here’s how the system works — and how to update your email correctly.

## How PodPitch Handles Emails

* Each **campaign** is linked to **one profile**
* Each **profile** is linked to **one sending email**
* That email sends all pitches on behalf of the profile (name, bio, voice, expertise)

Because of this setup:

* ❌ You cannot assign a different email to just *one* campaign
* ✅ Updating the email updates it for *all* campaigns connected to that profile

# How to Update the Sending Email

To change the sender, first connect and verify the new address under **Email Addresses**, then select it for the OmniCampaign.

## 1. Connect the New Email

1. Go to **Email Addresses** in the left sidebar
2. Click **Add Email**
3. Connect your new email provider (Google, Outlook, iCloud, or IMAP)
4. Once connected, it will appear as an available sending option

## 2. Select the New Sender in the OmniCampaign

1. Go to **Campaigns**.
2. Open the OmniCampaign you want to update.
3. Find **“Emails are coming from & signed as”**:

* Click the **X** to remove the current email
* Select the newly connected email from the dropdown
5. Click **Save Changes**

All campaigns using this profile will now send from the updated email.

# ⚠️ Important Notes

## Updating the email affects every campaign using that profile

If you want only *one* campaign to use a different sending email:

➡️ **Create a duplicate profile**, assign the new email to that profile, and attach the campaign to the new profile.

## Email switching may temporarily affect deliverability

Allow 24–48 hours for warming and authentication alignment when switching inboxes.

## Smart Pitch & Matching

If Smart Pitch is on:

* Changing profiles may alter journalist/podcast matching
* Each profile has its own topics, expertise, and voice settings
* Using the wrong profile may reduce relevancy
