# 👤 How to Use Profiles with PodPitch OmniCampaigns

A **profile** represents the person, company, product, or story you want to promote with PodPitch.

The profile is the shared source of truth used across an **OmniCampaign**. Podcast, journalist, newsletter, and other media outreach can all use the same profile while applying media-specific targeting and writing.

## Profiles in All Access

PodPitch All Access supports unlimited profiles. Creating another profile does not automatically increase your bill or daily pitch allowance.

Profiles are separate from:

* **Team members**, who are people who can log in to the account
* **Email Addresses**, which send outreach and receive replies
* **OmniCampaigns**, which control targeting, writing, media types, and sending
* **Daily pitch capacity**, which is shared across the team

## Create a profile

1. Open **Profiles**.
2. Select **Add New** or the available create-profile option.
3. Enter a clear profile name.
4. Add accurate information about the person, company, product, or story.
5. Save the profile before creating an OmniCampaign.

Use a name that helps the team select the right profile during campaign setup.

## What to include

A useful profile can include:

* Name and background
* Professional role or company
* Expertise and topics
* Products, services, research, or offers
* Achievements and credentials
* Approved supporting links
* Previous media coverage
* Current facts and statistics
* Subjects or claims that must not appear

Write for a host, journalist, or newsletter writer who has never heard of the profile.

Only include information that is accurate and safe to use in outreach.

## Use the profile in an OmniCampaign

When creating an OmniCampaign, select the profile being promoted.

The campaign can then use that profile for several media types. PodPitch adapts the outreach for the destination:

* Podcast outreach can focus on guest expertise and interview topics.
* Journalist outreach can use credentials and facts to support a timely news hook.
* Newsletter outreach can propose commentary, contributions, mentions, or features.

You do not need a separate podcast profile, journalist profile, or newsletter profile for the same subject.

## Profile information versus campaign settings

Put durable facts in the profile.

Use the OmniCampaign for:

* Target audiences and media
* News hooks and timely angles
* Topics or outlets to include or exclude
* First-person or third-person perspective
* Writing style and Custom Instructions
* Sending mode and schedule

Targeting determines who PodPitch recommends. Writing settings determine how pitches are written.

## Edit a profile

Update a profile whenever core information changes.

Before saving, check whether the profile is used by active OmniCampaigns. A profile update can affect future content across several media types.

After a material update:

1. Save the profile.
2. Open each affected OmniCampaign.
3. Rewrite eligible pending pitches.
4. Review samples from every enabled media type.
5. Confirm names, claims, links, perspective, sender details, and signatures.
6. Resume Smart Mode only after the rewritten outreach is accurate.

Previously sent messages do not change.

## Deactivate or delete carefully

Before deactivating or deleting a profile, review its OmniCampaigns, replies, and outreach history.

Do not delete a profile merely to stop sending. Turn the relevant OmniCampaign Off first and preserve any history you still need.

If the correct action is unclear, contact Support before deleting the profile.

## Troubleshooting

If a profile cannot be selected when creating an OmniCampaign:

* Confirm the profile was saved
* Check that required information is complete
* Reopen **Campaigns**
* Confirm that a sending address is active under **Email Addresses**
* Check whether the profile is inactive or deleted

If the problem continues, contact Support with the profile name and exact error text.
