🔍 How to Search & Browse Databases in PodPitch

You can explore all databases, but pitching is limited to the services included in your plan.

📍 Where to Find Search in the New Dashboard

  1. Click the Databases icon in the left-hand menu
  2. Select My Databases
  3. Choose the database that matches your plan:

  • Podcast Pitching
  • Journalist Pitching
  • Newsletter Pitching

From here, you can start searching and building lists.

🔓 Browsing vs Pitching Access

  • ✅ You can search and browse all databases
  • 🚫 You can only pitch from the databases you’re actively paying for

This allows you to research freely while keeping outreach aligned with your subscription.

Choose Your Search Style

  • Search by Ideas → Describe what you want in plain English
  • Search by Keywords → Exact matching for titles, names, or topics

🧭 Step-by-Step: Finding the Right Media

Step 1 of 5: Select Media Type

Choose between Podcasts or Journalists depending on your outreach goal.

You can switch media types anytime using the purple Switch button.

Step 2 of 5: Describe Your Perfect Match

Tell us what you’re looking for.

Examples:

  • “Tech podcasts about AI”
  • “Finance journalists covering crypto”

Use filters to narrow results:

  • Monthly audience size
  • Location
  • Category
  • Other relevance signals

Step 4 of 5: Avoid Duplicate Outreach

Exclude contacts you’ve already pitched in previous campaigns to prevent duplicate emails.

Step 5 of 5: Review & Save Results

Save results to a Media List, export them, or add them directly to a campaign.

🔁 Find Similar Podcasts

After selecting a podcast, click Find Similar Podcasts to expand your list with shows reaching similar audiences.

You can:

  • Add them directly to a campaign
  • Save them to a new list (e.g. “Similar to Amy Porterfield”)

🎯 Why This Matters

Using smart search, saved lists, and “Find Similar” helps you:

  • Build highly targeted outreach lists
  • Improve campaign performance
  • Save time versus manual research
