How to Use Podcast Appearances in Future Outreach

A relevant podcast appearance can strengthen future outreach when you describe it accurately and link to the published episode. Do not claim an appearance before it is live or imply results the episode did not produce.

PodPitch

Use Search & Lists to find the podcast, open its record, and use the available similar-podcast or related-search control. Review each recommendation before adding it to a Media List or OmniCampaign.

Update the profile

Add the appearance to the appropriate PodPitch profile with:

  • the podcast and episode title;
  • the published episode URL;
  • the date;
  • the topic discussed; and
  • a short, factual description of the value you contributed.

Avoid generic claims such as “top podcast” unless you have a reliable source for that ranking.

After a material profile change, review or regenerate eligible queued messages. Previously sent emails do not change.

Use descriptive link text such as Listen to the interview about sustainable growth rather than pasting a long raw URL.

Hyperlinks are supported, but keep links relevant and limited. Test every destination and make sure the page is publicly accessible. Too many links or unnecessary tracking can reduce trust and affect deliverability.

Refer to the appearance in a pitch

Mention the appearance only when it helps the recipient understand the proposed topic. A concise example is:

I recently joined a podcast to discuss sustainable growth for small teams, and I can bring a related, audience-specific angle to your show.

Rewrite the sentence for the actual episode and recipient. Do not reuse one generic claim across unrelated campaigns.

Reuse the content

With the publisher's permission and subject to the applicable usage rights, you can share the episode, quote short approved excerpts, or create promotional clips. PodPitch do not grant rights to reuse a podcast's recording or branding.
