✨How to Customize AI-Written Emails in PodPitch

Option 1: Edit Individual Emails

  1. Open your campaign and go to the Email view.
  2. Select the email you’d like to adjust.
  3. Click Edit, then make changes such as:

  • Rewording sentences.
  • Turning paragraphs into bullet points.
  • Adding or removing details.

💡 This option works best when you only need to tweak a few emails. If you want every email to follow the same structure, use Option 2.

Option 2: Add Custom Writing Instructions

For a more consistent approach, use the Custom Writing Instructions feature:

  1. Go to your campaign.
  2. Click the Settings tab at the top.
  3. Scroll to Custom Writing Instructions.
  4. Add specific, detailed guidance — the clearer, the better.

Examples of effective instructions:

  • “In the first email, introduce me, explain why I’d be a good guest, and reference the most recent podcast episode.”
  • “Start every email with ‘Hi [First Name]’.”
  • “End each email with ‘Hope this sounds good — I’d love to chat about being a guest on your podcast.’”

You can also add separate instructions for follow-ups:

  • “In the first follow-up, keep it short and polite, reminding them of my expertise in [topic].”

Strengthen Your Profile for Better AI Output

The AI pulls directly from your profile to write emails. If your story or expertise isn’t coming through strongly:

  1. Go to your Profile.
  2. Add or update key details you want highlighted in every email.
  3. Focus on what makes you stand out — e.g., “Author of [Book Title],” “Featured in Forbes,” “Speaker at [Conference].”

Best Practices

  • Be clear and specific with your writing instructions.
  • Think of it like giving feedback to a copywriter — the more detailed you are, the better the output.
  • Keep your profile up to date so the AI always pulls from accurate, relevant information.

✅ With Custom Writing Instructions and a strong profile, your PodPitch emails will sound more authentic, professional, and aligned with your goals.
