⚠️ Why Your Campaign Isn’t Sending in Smart Mode

Why Your Campaign Isn't Sending in Smart Mode

Smart Mode sends only when the campaign, enabled media channel, schedule, sender, targets, and team capacity are ready.

1. Confirm the campaign mode

Open Campaigns and verify that the campaign is:

  • in Smart Mode;
  • not Off or archived; and
  • not blocked by an incomplete setup step.

If a new campaign was created with Create campaign and manually review first, it will not send automatically until Smart Mode is turned on.

2. Check the media channel

An OmniCampaign can remain active while one media type is paused.

Open the campaign's Pitches area, select the relevant media tab, and confirm that it does not show Paused. Resume the channel only after its targeting and drafts are ready.

3. Check Daily Budget and team capacity

Verify:

  • the campaign has a Daily Budget above zero;
  • the team has available shared daily pitch capacity;
  • another Smart campaign has not been assigned all available capacity; and
  • the team has not already reached its daily limit.

All active Smart campaigns and media types share the team's daily capacity. Capacity is not multiplied by adding another email address, profile, or campaign.

4. Check the schedule

Review the campaign's:

  • start date;
  • sending days;
  • sending window; and
  • time zone.

If the current time is outside the sending window, Smart Mode waits for the next eligible period.

5. Check the sending address

Open Email Addresses and confirm that the selected sender:

  • is connected;
  • does not show a reconnect or Fix Now warning;
  • has completed any required provider authorization; and
  • is ready to send.

For managed mailboxes, confirm that domain setup and warm-up are complete.

6. Check targeting and available matches

Smart Mode can have nothing to send when:

  • no eligible matches remain;
  • targeting is too restrictive;
  • every available match was already contacted or skipped;
  • exclusions remove the remaining contacts; or
  • unresolved setup or draft issues hold the messages.

Review the campaign's matches, Skipped list, exclusions, and pending pitches before broadening targeting.

7. Review held or scheduled messages

A message can be held because of an unresolved placeholder, invalid detail, safety control, schedule, or follow-up state.

Open the pitch and correct the displayed issue. Do not remove a safety hold without reviewing the recipient and complete message.

After correcting the issue

Smart Mode can resume when all required conditions are satisfied. Recheck the next eligible sending window and monitor Sent activity.

If it still does not send, contact Support with the account, campaign, media channel, sending address, Daily Budget, capacity shown, exact status, and a redacted screenshot.
